Howzat for Grassroots Sport Support From Leading Accountancy Firm
Wales’ largest independent accountancy practice Bevan Buckland LLP has stepped up to the crease to sponsor the South Wales Junior Cricket League throughout 2022.
Bevan Buckland LLP is a regular sponsor of grassroots sport and local charities and the firm is keen to encourage young people to enjoy the benefits of competitive sport within their communities.
Alison Vickers, Managing Partner at Bevan Buckland LLP said: “We are pleased to be the main sponsor for the South Wales Junior Cricket League and to support vital grassroots sport and activities for young people in one of the key areas we serve. We are already regular sponsors of many other sports teams in the area and we are happy to add South Wales Junior Cricket league to our roster of beneficiaries.
The league is thought to be the largest of its kind in the UK providing cricket for over 2,000 boys and girls from the age of 9 through to 17 every week and over the years many have gone on to represent Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Wales Minor Counties and England. Gregory Thomas, Steve Watkin, Robert Croft, Simon Jones, Stephanie Davies and Hannah Lloyd all started their careers within the league before going on to international honours with England, so we hope we are playing our part to support the ongoing success, achievement and enjoyment of our young people.”
Ben Robert, Vice Chairman of the League said: “We are very grateful to Bevan Buckland LLP for coming on board as our main sponsors of the league for 2022. This will help us to cater for the cricketing needs of the young junior players within the league as we embark on our 50th year”.
