Information event on proposed green hydrogen project
Renewable energy specialist Marubeni Europower is holding a public information event to update the Bridgend community on its plans for the HyBont green hydrogen production and refuelling facility at Brynmenyn Industrial Estate, before submitting a planning application later this month.
It is anticipated that the green hydrogen facility will help support Bridgend County Borough Council’s net zero strategy by providing low carbon fuel to be used locally, for its refuse collection vehicles and operators of local buses. The Council is also exploring the potential for an Ynysawdre heat network, which would provide a low carbon and cost-effective way to heat local schools and community facilities.
The public information event is taking play from 12.45pm-6.45pm on Thursday 9 March 2023 at Ynysawdre Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre, Heol yr Ysgol, Tondu, CF32 9E.
