iungoworks launches dynamic new high-tech coworking space in historic Cardiff building

iungoworks has lovingly restored one of Cardiff’s most historic buildings into a state-of-the-art coworking space.
Fusing modern innovation with architectural heritage, the new space is set to redefine how professionals, startups and creatives work, connect and grow in the heart of the Welsh capital.
The new coworking spaces, housed in the Grade II-listed West Bute House on West Bute Street, offer completely flexible solutions for remote workers, start-up, scale-up, SME businesses and satellite operations of larger businesses in Cardiff Bay.
iungoworks is the brainchild of Jessica Leigh Jones and Tom de Vall, who run iungo Solutions, a multi-accredited centre providing learning programmes focused on digital and green skills.
They purchased the 18th Century former coal shipping company building in the Mount Stuart conservation area of Cardiff Bay last year and have revamped the old building into a high spec open-plan coworking space which also has serviced office suites and meeting rooms.
Jessica said: “After years of working in bedrooms and at kitchen tables during Covid, people are craving structure, routine, and separation between work and home and coworking at iungoworks offers all that, minus the commute of a traditional office. We’ve designed iungoworks to be more than just a place to work, it’s a space where collaboration and creativity can be sparked and meaningful connections can be made. We’ve blended the historic character of the building with cutting-edge facilities and we are really proud to have created an environment that empowers individuals and businesses to grow together.
“One of the things that sets us apart from other coworking spaces is our flexible approach to working. We stay open late into the evenings to encourage creatives to use the space in ‘non-traditional’ working hours. We have also received interest in our virtual memberships, which provide people with a company registered address, mail forwarding and discounts on coworking day passes.”
Tom added: “Coworking is about more than shared desks. It’s about shared energy, ideas and ambition. This space isn’t just about where people work, it’s about how they work together. At iungoworks, we’re proud to build a community where people can inspire one another and turn bold ideas into real impact. Honouring the industrial legacy of the Grade II listed former coal shipping building we call home, we’ve crafted a sleek, contemporary approach to business, one that remains mindful of its historic surroundings in the heart of our capital’s commercial district.”
All coworkers benefit from a high-spec workstations, mail management, a company registered address, access to light and airy meeting rooms as well as bottomless bean-to-cup coffee.
West Bute House is also close to Cardiff Bay station, a bus stop and the nearby restaurants in Mermaid Quay.
There are many flexible memberships available from virtual to full-time membership as well as part-time and twilight options.
