Kind-hearted South Wales Coffee Company donates free coffee to NHS heroes
Bridgend-based coffee company, Argies, like many others in South Wales are currently only operating with a handful of key workers maintaining essential deliveries to the NHS, Police and their other front line customers.
Yesterday, the team filled an Argies van ready for a very special delivery – donations of coffee for staff on 8 wards at Llandough Hospital following a request for donations on Facebook.
Sales Manager Jo Parry said:
“We are fortunate to service many customers within the South Wales public sector, including vending for both the NHS and Police – so when we received a request for donations of coffee to support the wards, we simply had to help.
“We are coffee experts – not medical professionals, so we can’t help in the fight to save lives, but we can play our part to support those who are facing that fight every day.
“It may be only coffee, but being able to have a hot drink on their break will make a tough time much easier for staff, who work so hard to help patients recover and make their stay in hospital more bearable. We hope this helps and of course, the coffee is accompanied with our sincere thanks for all the work they are doing every day.”
“Our staff will be joining in the clap for our NHS and key worker heroes this evening, and we’d encourage everyone else to do the same.”
