Many ‘Reasons to Love Wool’ will be on offer at Loggerheads Country Park this half term.

A Nature for Health event called ‘Reasons to Love Wool’ will be held at the park on Tuesday October 29, from 10.30am until 3pm.

It is a free family event for all ages that will have a variety of demonstrations and activities to share information and celebrate the versatility of wool and the many uses it has.

Supporting the event will be Gill Britten from Gwlangollen, The Clwyd Spinners Guild and Callum Glass of Sheep Floof who is a local producer from Clwyd Gate.

The demonstrations and activities on the day will range from craft, heritage skills, processing wool and more practical uses for wool such as insulation and horticultural uses.

Councillor Alan James, Lead Member for Local Development and Planning said: “This will be a fantastic event at Loggerheads for all ages to learn about how important and valuable wool is in our lives today and I would encourage people to drop in to take part in the activities.”
