Former Nuclear Executive joins Zip World as Operations Director

Following on from the prestigious appointment of Giles Thorley, Zip World have announced the addition of a second highly experienced and well respected senior team member.

Former Executive Director of Operations of Horizon Nuclear Power, Greg Evans, has been appointed as new Operations Director to strengthen the management team and take the business to the next level.

Greg brings more than 39 years’ experience in the nuclear industry at the highest level to his new role at the fast-growing Welsh adventure tourism business.

A former US Navy submariner and Centrica Energy Director of Nuclear and Renewables, he is recognised as an exceptional leader widely regarded both in the nuclear and renewable power generation industries.

His work in renewables saw him leading major infrastructure projects, including the  development, commissioning and operational phases of the billion pound Lincs Offshore Wind Farm. In nuclear, he was responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Wylfa nuclear power station on Anglesey with 1,000 staff and contractors.

He was also responsible for the safe delivery of the site decommissioning programme at Trawsfynydd in the heart of Snowdonia National Park with the programme delivered safely, on time and within budget during his tenure as Site Director.

Zip World are continuing to lead the way when it comes to innovation, launching a brand new automated video feature all the way from Silicon Valley, Revl, this will further improve the consumer experience at the site.
