Llangollen Teacher Lucy Cowley Named Learner of the Year at National Eisteddfod
Lucy Cowley from Llangollen has been awarded the prestigious Learner of the Year Trophy at the National Eisteddfod of Wales 2025 in Wrexham.
Starting her Welsh language journey in 2019, Teacher Lucy is now fluent and actively promotes the language through a local social group.
Her tutor, Non ap Emlyn, praised her dedication and enthusiasm, while Councillor Emrys Wynne hailed her achievement as an encouraging step toward the goal of one million Welsh speakers by 2050.
