Tiny Toes Ballet in Bridgend & Vale of Glamorgan is celebrating after winning the award for Arts, Literature & Dance Club of the Year in Wales, at the Wales Children’s Activities and Services Awards in January just a year after beginning classes in the region.

The Wales CASA is the only dedicated awarding body in Wales that recognises and celebrates businesses and people who enrich this vibrant and dynamic sector in Wales. Winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges who are experts in their field.

Tiny Toes Ballet Bridgend & Vale of Glamorgan opened its doors in January 2019 and offers adventure-themed dance classes to children from the age of 6 months up to 7 years old.

‘Miss Jess’, Jessica Barnes, owner of Tiny Toes Ballet, said:

“We were delighted to win an award after an amazing first year.

“Children love the classes and benefit in all kinds of ways.  We don’t “just” teach ballet – we develop movement and musicality, we encourage creativity and imagination, and focus on social skills and developing a sense of self, all whilst learning about the world around us. Our story-telling approach allows the children to engage, become familiar and learn through our termly theme, keeping classes relevant, engaging and fun.
