Neath Polyphonic Choir’s Christmas Concert to Support Parkinson’s Charities in Wales.
The Neath Polyphonic Choir will hold its Annual Christmas Concert on Friday, 6th December at 7:00 PM in St. David’s Church, Neath, with proceeds dedicated to supporting people with Parkinson’s Disease in Wales and the work of local support groups.
The concert will feature a selection of carols and Christmas music, including some new arrangements, offering a festive start to the season. The Choir will be joined by guest soloist Trystan Llŷr Griffiths, a prominent Welsh tenor, as well as organist Huw Tregelles Williams and the Briton Ferry Silver Band, ensuring a memorable evening of musical performances.
The Choir’s music director, Mark Ritzmann said,
“We are really excited about this year’s concert, as we have a great mix of Christmas music for our audience, a top-drawer soloist and some talented musicians on board. It promises to be a wonderful evening, and we are pleased at the same time to be able to support a very worthwhile charity.”
Funds raised will benefit local Parkinson’s initiatives, including the Neath Port Talbot Parkinson’s Support Group, which has been active for 30 years. The group organises monthly meetings, inviting guest speakers and providing activities to support its members.
Tickets are £15, including a programme, festive refreshments, and snacks, with free admission for those aged 16 and under. Tickets are available via 07970 027685 or at the door.
The event offers an opportunity to enjoy a festive evening while contributing to a cause that directly benefits the community.
