From today (Monday, April 12) all shops, including non-essential retail, will be able to reopen and traders across the county are getting ready to welcome back shoppers.

Shoppers are being reminded to follow guidance on social distancing, to wear face coverings and to practice hand hygiene.

There will also be Covid Marshals in Denbighshire towns who will be visiting businesses providing support and guidance to ensure they are operating safely and following the legal guidelines.

Emlyn Jones, Denbighshire County Council’s Head of Planning and Public Protection, said: “Businesses in the county have been working hard to ensure they are following guidance and regulations so they can keep their customers safe when they re-open. We would like to thank them for their hard work.

“Customers are reminded that the virus has not gone away and it is just as important as ever to stay safe as lockdown measures continue to be eased.

“It is still essential everyone continues to follow social distancing guidelines, use the hand sanitisers available in shops and wear a face mask unless you are exempt.

“The Council will also be working with businesses to ensure they are aware of the regulations and are following guidelines.”
