A drive-in pantomime is on its way to Porthcawl to spread some festive cheer… oh yes it is!

The pre-recorded performance of Peter Pan, featuring Owen Money, will be shown on a big screen at the Hi-Tide car park in Porthcawl in the run up to Christmas.

There will also be a chance to watch some festive films on the big screen with drive-in viewings of classics like Home Alone, A Muppets Christmas Carol and Polar Express.

The events, which are being run by the Firefly Cinema Club, will have Covid-19 safety rules in place, including plenty of social distancing space between all vehicles, and staff will wear protective clothing. Those attending should wear a face covering when using the conveniences.

Bridgend County Borough Council leader Huw David said: “I’m pleased that residents will be able to enjoy some festive entertainment after so many events had to be cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Residents are also reminded to visit our Digital Christmas Festival website, where they can access our virtual advent calendar for a chance to win discounts at local businesses or a golden ticket for a personalised message from Father Christmas.”

Tickets for the films are £30 plus a service fee for a small/medium car and £35 plus a service fee for a large car. A maximum of four people are allowed per vehicle.
