Residents of Bridgend County Borough are being reminded there is no limit to the amount of recycling they can put out for collection.  For information on what can be recycled or to request extra containers visit Your recycling containers – Bridgend CBC.

The council’s deputy leader Hywel Williams said: “A huge amount can be recycled from plastic bottles, food tins and empty aerosol cans to cardboard, food waste, shampoo bottles and so much more.

“While the two-bag rule waste rule has been in place for several years now as part of a drive to reduce the amount of overall waste and encourage more recycling, there is absolutely no limit on the amount of recycling that can be put out for collection.

“We would like to thank all our residents for their patience and understanding throughout the coronavirus pandemic as well as Kier’s refuse and recycling collectors, and our own street cleansing team – they have done an incredible job of keeping our neighbourhoods clean and tidy with a phenomenal amount of waste and recycling collected over the past year.”
