Young people enjoyed an event called, ‘Make a Noise’ during half term at Wrexham University.

Wrexham University hosted approximately 50 children aged between 6 and 13 and their families who took part in the Children’s University ‘Make A Noise’ event.

Children had the opportunity to take part in three activities, including a space exploration in the Xplore Immersive Dome, a South American-inspired drumming workshop with Bloco Swn, and a thought-provoking sustainable community workshop with 4WardFutures. Children immersed themselves into the University campus and enjoyed the range of workshops as well as meeting friends and making new friends from different schools.

Families were treated to a welcoming lunch and tea buffet provided by Aramark which also included a delicious cheesecake desert making station in Wrexham University canteen.

Young people and their families had a great day, and best of all it was completely free.

Sonia John, Children’s University Project Manager, said: “It was a fabulous inclusive event seeing so many happy children taking part in a variety of fun, inspiring, and thought-provoking workshops. The buffet provided by Aramark was fabulous and everyone was very grateful! The feedback has been great from families and their children, and we are looking forward to putting more events on like this in the future. A big thank you to everyone who helped on the day making it a successful and happy event for our young people.”
