A SERIES of open events – including accessible sessions for neurodiverse people – will be held at Coleg Cambria throughout November.

Open events will take place in person at the following sites:

Deeside and Deeside Sixth – Wednesday November 9 from 5.30pm- 8.30pm.

Llysfasi – Saturday November 12 from 10am-1pm.

Yale and Yale Sixth Wrexham – Wednesday November 16 from 5.30pm-8.30pm.

Bersham Road Wrexham – Wednesday November 16 from 5.30pm-8.30pm.

Northop – Saturday November 19 from 10am-1pm.

Cambria’s Principal Sue Price said these activities will give prospective students and their families the opportunity to explore the breadth of programmes on offer across the four sites, from Sports and Engineering to Agriculture, Business, Hair and Beauty, Marketing, Construction and more.

“We are delighted to hold these November open events in person and have already received a positive response,” said Mrs Price.

“As well as our modern facilities it’s a chance for people to find out more about our health and wellbeing support and pastoral care – more important than ever given the challenges of the pandemic – and innovative courses which prepare our learners for their future careers.”

Accessible open events for people wanting to study in a sensory-supportive setting will be held on the following dates:

Deeside and Deeside Sixth – Thursday November 17 from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

Yale and Yale Sixth Wrexham – Thursday November 24 from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

Northop – Thursday December 1 from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

Spaces are limited so those in attendance can explore and enjoy Cambria’s cutting-edge facilities in a warm, welcoming environment without large crowds.

Head of Inclusion Lizzie Stevens said: “This is the perfect opportunity to explore everything Cambria has to offer in a sensory-supportive setting, including more information about our courses, facilities and inclusion and learning support services – we look forward to seeing you soon.”
