Pro Steel Engineering Welcomes New Senior Team Members to Drive Growth in 2025
Pontypool-based steel specialist Pro Steel Engineering has announced two strategic appointments as it prepares for a year of significant growth and project expansion. The company, which is actively engaged in high-profile multi-million-pound projects at Manchester and Heathrow Airports, HS2 gantries, and the historic Newport Transporter Bridge refurbishment, has created two new leadership roles to strengthen its operations.
Industry Expertise to Lead Project Delivery
Jake Turberville, a seasoned professional from New Inn with over a decade of experience in civil engineering, has been appointed Senior Projects Manager. Previously with Griffiths Civil Engineering, Jake will oversee Pro Steel’s project delivery across the UK, bringing fresh perspectives and extensive expertise to the role.
Expanding the Commercial Front
Joining Jake is Alyson Chiplin from Caerphilly, the company’s newly appointed Commercial Manager. With a background at AMEY, Alyson will collaborate with Commercial Director Jon Davies to enhance the firm’s commercial operations, drive growth in the aviation sector, and explore opportunities in green energy. Her role will focus on managing live projects and identifying new avenues for business development.
A Vision for the Future
Richard Selby, director and co-founder of Pro Steel Engineering, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments:
“Starting 2025 with these pivotal hires reflects our commitment to growth and excellence. Jake and Alyson bring a wealth of experience and industry credentials that will be vital as we expand into new markets and enhance our services for existing clients.”
He added, “Following our success last year with projects like the Principality Stadium’s roofwalk initiative, we are now focused on delivering landmark aviation projects. The addition of these key roles ensures we are well-positioned to seize new opportunities while maintaining our high standards of service and delivery.”
Prepared for Growth
In anticipation of increased demand, Pro Steel Engineering recently inaugurated a 22,000 sq. ft facility at Mamhilad Park Estate. This state-of-the-art unit is dedicated to assembling steel-clad frames for its airport projects and reflects the company’s commitment to scaling its operations in the aviation sector.
An Award-Winning Enterprise
Pro Steel Engineering, recognized for its expertise in steel construction, reported a £12 million turnover last year. Operating across the UK and internationally, the company continues to solidify its position as a leader in the industry, driven by a clear vision and a growing team of skilled professionals.
With these strategic hires, Pro Steel is poised to make 2025 another landmark year in its history of innovation and excellence.
