Following a successful first meeting, Huw Irranca-Davies MS and Chris Elmore MP are pleased to announce a second public drop-in event with Transport for Wales (TfW) to discuss the Maesteg to Cardiff rail line.

TfW has listened to your concerns and shared a detailed response outlining planned actions and investigations following successful campaigning efforts.

It is hoped the meeting will provide an update on these plans, including investigating connecting Maesteg and Ebbw Vale services; Developing a plan for handling cancelled trains, prioritizing Bridgend Station; Collaborating with Network Rail to minimize disruptions; Reviewing cleaning procedures for trains and platforms and much more following successful campaigning efforts.

So, if you missed the first meeting, or if you have more to say on all things train-related on the Maesteg-Cardiff line, if you’ve suffered bad experiences with delays or cancellations or overcrowded trains, or if you’ve had great experiences, or you merely want to hear their plans for improvement then please come along.

We encourage you to attend and share your thoughts and experiences.
