Record attendance at Family Focus event held at Rhyl Town Hall
A ‘Family Focus’ Information Sharing Event was recently held at Rhyl Town Hall and saw over 285 attendees come through the doors. The event was put on by the Families First and Flying Start teams.
Held on the 6th of April, there were over 30 stands in attendance, who all provided advice on topics such as Education, Housing, ALN, Employment, Health, Energy, Money Matters, as well as the on Families First & Flying Start schemes. Each family who attended were given a raffle ticket, with the prizes on offer including an Air fryer, slow cooker, Easter hampers and Denbighshire Leisure vouchers.
Each stand provided an activity that the children could partake in whilst their parents or carers were discussing information. These included Easter themed masks, sweet treats, and toys.
TAPE also hosted a drop-in session, where attendees were invited to create their very own animated videos.
Councillor Gill German, Deputy Leader and Lead Member for Education, Children and Families said:
“I am so glad to see that so many people attended this event. The information on offer was informative to the local families, who came through the door in record numbers. This was a brilliant initiative put on by our Families First and Flying Start teams.
It was also a great opportunity for children to have some Easter themed fun while parents gathered and discussed the information available”.
