A recruitment event to attract housing, health and social care staff to work in Denbigh and the south of Denbighshire will take place.

The event will be held in Denbigh Town Hall on Tuesday, November 23 and is being organised by Denbighshire County Council and Grwp Cynefin.

It will offer information on jobs currently available and support those wishing to apply on the day.

There will also be information about other benefits for working or volunteering for the organisations attending.

Cllr Bobby Feeley, Denbighshire County Council’s Lead Member for Well-being and Independence, said: “Care workers provide an essential service for those most vulnerable in our communities.

“During the pandemic we have seen our care workers go above and beyond, always looking to provide the very best care with a smile.

“There are a number of different roles available in the sector and I would encourage anyone interested to attend this event to find out more about this rewarding career.”

Stallholders will include:

Grwp Cynefin will be offering information on roles at their extra care housing schemes, primarily Awel y Dyffryn, which is opening soon in Denbigh

Working Denbighshire

Community Navigators, Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council and the Locality Volunteer’s Project

Denbighshire County Council social care providers

Independent care home providers currently providing care and support in the south of the county to include Cartref Ni and Abacare

You can attend the event on a drop in basis from 10am – 2pm.
