As part of Denbighshire’s commitment to improving its roads conditions work is due to commence on the A547 Gronant Road Prestatyn on the 31st October and is  expected to take 1 week to complete.

To ensure that the works are carried out safely, the section of Gronant Road between the junction of Fforddlas and Mostyn Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the works.

Within the section of road closure, there shall be no access onto Gronant Road from all adjoining side roads for the duration of the works. However, access to residential and business premises which are located on Gronant Road will be available although some delay and disruption may be experienced.

The alternative diversion route will be signed accordingly. Normal working hours shall apply to the works however, the working hours on Monday 31st October and Tuesday 1st November shall be between 7.30am and midnight. This is to ensure that the works are completed as quickly as possible to ensure that disruption to local businesses is minimised.

Cllr Barry Mellor, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “Denbighshire County Council apologise for any inconvenience that these essential works may cause and we are grateful for local cooperation and patience during this time to ensure that the works are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

“We do anticipate that there may be some additional noise noticed during the course of the works especially during the evening however we are working to keep this to a minimum.”
