New research from greeting card marketplace thortful.com looked at cities across the UK to find the cheapest, and most expensive, cities to go on a date. Included on the date is a meal for two, a glass wine, cost of a beer, two cinema tickets and the average taxi price.

Looking at the data, the top 5 cheapest cities to go on a date, are:

  1. Kingston upon Hull £67.7
  2. Aberdeen £71.7
  3. Cardiff £75.2
  4. Newcastle upon Tyne £78.6
  5. Sheffield £84.1

Claiming the top spot as the cheapest city to go on a date is Kingston upon Hull, where the average cost of a date will take roughly £67.7 out of your bank account. Not bad for a perfect night out! In second comes Aberdeen. This city is relatively cheap for lovebirds looking for a date night, with the price of a date costing you £71.7. Taking third place is Cardiff, where the price of a date will cost you roughly £75.2.

On the other end of the scale are the most expensive cities to bring your partner on a date in the UK. In London, the total cost of a date ends at £112.8, £45.1 more expensive than in Kingston upon Hull!
