RLB Stands tall in Cardiff and Bristol
Cardiff based construction, property and management consultancy, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is currently on site with the two tallest residential towers in the West and Wales region: a 26-storey building in Bristol and a 22-storey building in Cardiff.
In the centre of Bristol, RLB is working on the residential scheme Castle Park View for Linkcity/Bouygues UK which includes a landmark 26 storey residential tower for the city. The development, which is regenerating a brownfield site owned by Bristol City Council and Homes England, is due to complete in 2022 and will bring 375 much needed homes, with a mixture of build to rent and affordable dwellings, to Bristol’s city centre.
The RLB team is also working on a 22-storey apartment building currently under construction in Cardiff within the thriving Capital Quarter regeneration development at the heart of the city. The residential tower is part of IM Properties’ Y Gwaith Copr, scheme which is set to deliver over 300 apartments and is also due to complete in 2022.
Jackie Pinder, Managing Partner for RLB West of England and Wales said: “Working on these two landmark tall towers in Cardiff and Bristol is a fantastic credit to the RLB team and is testament to the technical expertise we have in delivering complex projects for clients. It’s a real privilege to be working on these schemes – both firsts for their respective cities – which as well as delivering much needed housing also have urban regeneration and placemaking at their very heart. Having recently moved to our new office in Cardiff in the summer, consolidating the commitment to our clients in Wales, this makes it even more special to be involved with such a dynamic and high-profile scheme.”
RLB has been providing innovative and forward thinking housing solutions across the UK for over 20 years in both the private and public sector. The firm is currently supporting a range of schemes nationally which will add 8,000 homes when built out. RLB has a global track record in delivering some of the world’s tallest residential towers including the 65 storey Aspen Tower in London’s Canary Wharf.
