Robert Price Builders’ Merchants Donates 200 Water Bottles to Hendre Junior School

Robert Price Builders’ Merchants were delighted to support Hendre Junior School roll out another Healthy Living Campaign by donating 200 water bottles.

Launched by Robert Price in 2018, the Healthy Living Campaign initiative is all about encouraging healthier choices for primary school pupils in the South Wales area. The initiative works with schools on schemes such as; donations of water bottles to encourage pupils to drink more water, donations of materials for outdoor learning areas for healthier classroom environments and donations of materials for growing their own school produce. On this occasion, the teachers at Hendre Junior School were looking to acquire the Robert Price Healthy Living Water Bottles, and the builders’ merchants were thrilled to help out when they got in touch.

With water intake proven to help keep pupils alert and refreshed, especially in the summer months, the school had a plan to reduce fizzy drink and squash consumption and improve pupil wellbeing with the ‘Daily Water Drinking Challenge’ and the brand-new water bottles.

Teacher Laura Bowden commented: “We are so grateful for the donation! These will help children to stay hydrated throughout the day as a number of pupils don’t bring anything to drink.”

“We are a healthy school and increasing our water intake will enable the children to remain healthy and hydrated. Thank you so much.” Laura added.

On the donation, Molly Pike, Marketing Director at Robert Price said:

“It’s great to see a school taking a proactive approach and we were happy to help Hendre Juniors with the water bottles they requested!”

“We wish them all the best in the roll out and hope that the daily water drinking challenge is a hit with all the kids. We’re committed to helping our local communities and investing in the next generation” continued Molly.
