Robert Price Donates Building Materials to Monmouth Comprehensive School’s DT Department
Robert Price Builders Merchants, established in 1847, are dedicated to supporting builders, contractors, tradesmen and their local community – past, present and future.
Which is why, after meeting Monmouth Comprehensive School at the Usk show, they couldn’t resist supplying the necessary learning materials to Year 10 Built Environment students at Monmouth Comprehensive School – the next generation of trades people and professionals.
With the materials provided, the Year 10 and 11 pupils have learned how to plaster, tile and even tackle some carpentry projects, with a hope to do some bricklaying in the near future.
“Support from a leading company in the local community is invaluable, and a fantastic opportunity for us to further invest in our Year 10 Built Environment students!” said a spokesperson from the school.
“Materials and equipment donated included timber, plasterboard, plywood, gloves and masks, and we hope it helps to point our students in the direction of their potential career choices.”
“Thank you to Robert Price Abergavenny for their generous donation!”
Robert Price were delighted to help out where they could. Janet Jefferies, Branch Manager, said:
“We were more than happy to provide resources to these students. They represent the future of the construction industry and we were delighted to help them experience as many trade skills as possible.”
