STG Aerospace joins the Welsh Government for MRO Europe
Cwmbran-headquartered aircraft cabin lighting solutions experts STG Aerospace are joining the Welsh Government and Aerospace Wales Forum in Amsterdam for a major industry conference and exhibition, reinforcing the nation’s growing prominence in the aerospace sector.
MRO Europe is the largest aviation event in the region, taking place on 17 to 19 October. It will provide an opportunity for global aerospace leaders to connect on an international stage amidst 450 exhibitors from around the world representing all levels of the airline supply chain, and over 9,000 attendees including airlines, OEMs, suppliers, and industry experts.
Wales is a centre of excellence for aerospace manufacturing and MRO (maintenance, repairs and overhaul) services and is home to more than 160 aerospace companies, employing over 23,000 people across the country. According to Aerospace Wales Forum figures, the country makes up just 5% of the UK population but accounts for 10% of the UK aerospace industry and 20% of the UK MRO market. MRO Europe provides an opportunity to showcase this expertise.
STG Aerospace is one of a handful of Wales-based industry experts, joining the Welsh Government and Aerospace Wales Forum stand at MRO Europe. Established in 1995, the firm has a global presence and is an industry leader for aerospace emergency exit floor path marking and cabin lighting systems. STG solutions are line-fit for major of OEMs (including Boeing, Airbus & Embraer); and are operating on over 10,000 aircraft, with some 300 airlines across the globe.
Lynn Benham, EMEA Business Development Manager at STG, will attend and be available at booth 858 to talk about STG’s product offering.
She said: “Whilst STG is a global business, we are proud to have our HQ in Wales. Many people are not aware of the growing aerospace sector here and we’re delighted to be part of changing that perception. MRO Europe is an important industry event, and I am looking forward to representing STG and meeting existing and new customers to help with their emergency exit and cabin lighting requirements. We are also excited to be exhibiting alongside several other influential organisations based in Wales.”
Joining STG will be organisations such as: Aermach, Triumph Aerospace Operations UK Ltd, Caerdav, eCube, Aero Engine Services, Argo MRT, MES Ltd / Metrology Engineering Services Ltd and Espanaro. Aerospace Wales Forum and Cardiff Airport will also join The Welsh Government as key industry stakeholders.
