A SURGE in clients across new industries and returning legal events are among the latest developments at an esteemed recruitment agency.

Supertemps has also designed a new health and mindfulness strategy for its 10-strong workforce in Bangor and Colwyn Bay, which includes wellbeing days and a shorter working week culminating in ‘Funday Fridays’.

The award-winning company has seen its client and candidate base grow in the education, retail, and environmental sectors over past months, and despite challenges facing the recruitment arena is confident of growth in its 44th year in business.

Operations Director Andy Ellwood said: “The pandemic and subsequent turbulence UK-wide made us look even closer at how hard our amazing team are working, which is why we decided to invest further in their health and wellbeing.

“Funday Friday is just one of the ideas we had to promote a more positive environment for the team, giving them the chance to enjoy an extended break whilst increasing productivity and boosting morale long-term.

“It has certainly worked so far and also shows how much we value their efforts in what is often a highly pressured environment.”

Supertemps has also organised a free webinar with acclaimed Manchester legal practice JMW Solicitors LLP.

The two firms have worked closely together over the years to provide guidance and advice on all aspects of employment law to businesses throughout North Wales.

On March 5 they will do so again, via an online session and Q&A covering myriad issues with guest speakers Simon Bloch and Paul Chamberlain.

Topics will include changes to holiday pay entitlement and flexible working, an overview of changes to family-related leave, the Worker Protection Act, and the Workers (Predictable Terms and Conditions) Act.

“Changes to employment law are on the horizon so it’s important HR managers, company owners and people in relevant positions in their organisations are aware of what’s to come,” said Sarah Ellwood, Managing Director of Supertemps.

“During the pandemic we held these events online, which attracted interest from across the country, so they return this year by popular demand.

“There will also be a case law round-up and the opportunity to discuss things further with myself, Simon and Paul, who are experts in this field.”

The webinar takes place from 10am-11.45am via Zoom. To register for your free place, visit Employment Law Update 2024 Tickets, Tue 5 Mar 2024 at 10:00 | Eventbrite.
