SYTECH Managing Director, Daren Greener

SYTECH, the UK’s longest-established digital forensics consultancy service provider, is celebrating a landmark year as it secures an additional eight new contracts with a projected value of over £11 million.

The firm has won a series of highly competitive tenders for public sector bodies including four separate police forces, Police Digital Services (PDS), Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquacultural Science (Cefas).

For several contracts, SYTECH will provide a comprehensive service to secure, recover and evaluate digital evidence for criminal, civil or corporate investigations, covering all aspects of computer forensics, mobile phone forensics and geo-location analysis, including expert witness provision and evidential presentations.

The team of industry-leading analysts will work closely with other organisations to provide subject matter expertise for differing projects, including the generation of Ground Truth Data (GTD) and the validation of methods and tools.

Furthermore, SYTECH has been enlisted by Cefas to deliver consultancy, and on-the-ground training support services for ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Standards to multiple entities in Belize.  With nine years of testing and calibration laboratory experience, and having secured the rigorous accreditation themselves, the experienced consultancy team can assist laboratories and businesses to achieve the accreditation – and maintain their status thereafter.

The firm is also improving resilience in supply chains by transitioning other businesses through the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation process.

Significantly, following its monumental success in securing public sector contracts, SYTECH has added bid writing support services to its list of existing consultancy offerings to the SB/SME communities, providing practical guidance to help businesses with the development of competitive proposals.

To facilitate its growth, the firm is embarking on a major recruitment drive and seeks to grow the existing 70-strong workforce by at least 30% over the next 12 months. SYTECH is seeking experienced Analysts, entry-level technicians and administrative staff, and is interested in speaking with IT professionals, data analysts or former police officers keen to migrate into digital forensics and cyber services. Daren Greener, Managing Director at SYTECH commented: “We are extremely proud to have secured significant expansion of our contract portfolio with a record number of new public sector contracts over the past 12 months, a testament to our commitment to provide an attentive and amenable service delivery. These contracts also endorse the tremendous work and previous achievements of all our staff, which is reflected in high levels of customer satisfaction and service assurance. Our historic record in these areas, together with evident continuous improvement, have been key factors to these latest contract awards.

“As the business continues to expand and diversify, we are thrilled to offer significant job opportunities, creating high-aspirational careers and improving social mobility in our workforce areas and further across the UK through our social activities, which themselves are aimed at improving employability”.

From its offices in Stoke-on-Trent and South Wales, SYTECH provides all aspects of digital forensics and cyber services, consultancy and training. The company maintains a highly experienced, multi-discipline team of Professional Expert Witnesses and Analysts, who each specialise in complementary areas, working to understand the unique requirements of each business.

SYTECH is accredited for ISO 17025 and Forensic Science Code of Practice and Conduct (FSR-C-100), and certified for ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
