The unmissable events in Neath Port Talbot this month
From the highly anticipated return of Luminate, to the Richard Burton 10k and even Kris Kringle – Neath Port Talbot is jam-packed with unmissable events this month.
Right from the start of November there’s a host of events lined up, which are being supported by Neath Port Talbot Council’s Dramatic Heart of Wales campaign.
Whether you’re looking for a festive family day out or a bonfire spectacular – there’s something for everyone.
So, here’s just a few of the must-see events taking place in Neath Port Talbot this month…
Bonfire Night
A variety of firework events are set to light up the sky across Neath Port Talbot this bonfire night.
On November 4th from 5.50pm Bryncoch RFC will be hosting its own firework display, while Margam Park will also be hosting a family-friendly Guy Fawkes Fun with the Friends of Margam Park event on the same day from 11am to 3pm.
Neath RFC is also set to host its bonfire night event at The Gnoll on the 4th from 5pm with children’s entertainment, rides, and stalls all planned.
Tata Steel Richard Burton 10k
The much-loved Tata Steel Richard Burton 10K event is making a return to Neath Port Talbot this month for its 40th anniversary.
There’s plenty to see on the day, so go along and support all the amazing runners taking part!
The popular event will be taking place on November 6th from 10. As well as the main race, there will also be a special 10k for Tata employees only and the Tata Steel Runtech Keven Webber Mini Miler Fun Run which is open for children under the age of 15 to enter.
Community Christmas Tree Festival
This festive event is set to return to Margam Castle on November 12th and run until November 27th.
The Community Christmas Tree Festival, in partnership with The Friends of Margam Park, brings together groups from the community, businesses, schools and many more to decorate their own tree which is displayed in the castle.
The event will see the castle transformed into a winter wonderland with numerous Christmas trees on display, with the historic building opening its doors to visitors.
Luminate Wales
The enchanting Christmas light spectacular is returning to Margam Country Park and castle on November 17th.
The sell-out event, which welcomed thousands of visitors last year, will once again be weaving a magical light trail through the park’s historic gardens this month.
The mile-long trail will feature all new light installations and interactive elements for the whole family. Tickets can be booked here and must be booked in advance.
Miracle on 34th Street
This Christmas classic with a twist will be playing out on the stage at Pontardawe Arts Centre from November 17th to December 4th.
Lighthouse Theatre will be bringing a live radio play version of Miracle on 34th Street to the stage for a truly festive event for all the family.
Don’t miss Kris Kringle and his magical tale which is sure to have you shouting “I Believe in Santa Claus” when the curtains come down.
