Independent housebuilder Dandara recently hosted a safety poster competition at Jubilee Park Primary School, located close to Dandara’s new Parc Jiwbili development in Rogerstone, Newport.

The winning entry from Carson, age 9, featured a drawing of a new home with a working building site in the background complete with cement mixer and digger.

As a reward for his efforts, Jubilee Park school were awarded a £100 book voucher.

Tracey Gallacher-Thresh, Sales & Marketing Director at Dandara Wales & West, commented: “Well done to Carson for his excellent picture – he must have spent a lot of time on it as there is so much detail in it! I am sure he is pleased that the whole class will benefit from his good work.

“It is a real privilege for us to work with local schools like Jubilee Park Primary and to have an opportunity to raise awareness of the dangers of construction sites.”

Class teacher Sarah Griffiths from Jubilee Park Primary added: “Carson really enjoyed working on the poster and is a very worthy winner. We are so grateful to Dandara for the prize which will be used to buy new books, the entire class will get hours of enjoyment reading.”
