TSW Training LTD helps Welsh manufacturing & engineering clients access 50% funding for training

Bridgend-based training provider, TSW Training, is offering 50% funding on a number of its programmes, including lean manufacturing, and technology qualifications until March 2023.  

As part of the Flexible Skills Programme, businesses across Wales can benefit from Welsh Government funding to train their employees in areas that bring increased revenue, productivity, and efficiency to their organisation.  

Companies can claim up to £25,000 for training to upskill their workforce and, with 20 years’ experience in the industry, the team at TSW Training are helping business owners, and other senior leaders, apply for funding, as well as designing training programmes to suit their needs.

A success story in Treorchy  

When Everest Windows in Treorchy was brought out of administration during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was clear that something had to change to keep the business afloat.  

Using the 50% funding opportunity, Plant Manager Jim Collins worked with TSW Training to proceed with the application process and implement training that would help the team to work in a more streamlined manner.  

The training delivered included upskilling employees in management development, leadership, and lean manufacturing principles, resulting in a highly engaged workforce, who were able to work together effectively.  

“Straightaway, we saw 66% productivity improvement,” Collins said. “That was an expectation of £280,000 a week…going to over £400,000. Better flow and a more engaged workforce.” 

As a result of the benefits the business has felt, Everest Windows is working with TSW Training on future programmes to develop the staff and improve company revenue even further.
