Both Denbighshire County Council’s Street Lighting Team and Catering Service Team have been nominated for awards by the APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) performance networks awards.

Both high performing teams have been shortlisted as finalists for Best Performer in their respective categories, with the Street Lighting Team picking up a further nomination for Most Improved Performer.

APSE is a not for profit local government body working with over 300 councils throughout the UK to promote excellence in public services.

The Street Lighting Team is responsible for all aspects of street lighting, including the festive lights seen on the streets as well as any decorative lighting. The team recently completed an energy reduction project to convert all its street lights to lower wattage LED’s.

The Catering Service Team work tirelessly to provide meals all across the county and have previously been recognised for their excellent work as they were named as one of the top 6 best performing services in the UK for 2019/2020 in their category.

The awards will be held on Thursday the 1st and Friday the 2nd of December 2022 in Blackpool.
