Swansea Valley Businessman behind EAS Wales shortlisted for National Entrepreneur Award

Nieaal Williams, a 24 year old from Ynyswen near Ystradgynlais, and the founder of multi-award-winning EAS Wales, was delighted to learn that he has made the shortlist for a prestigious Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Founded in 2013, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses in the United Kingdom.

The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names.Previous winners include the founders of BrewDog, Tangle Teezer, The LAD Bible, Clearscore & The Cambridge Satchel Company.

Judges of the awards include Hayley Parsons, who founded Go Compare, Cath Kidston, Lord Bilimoria of Cobra Beer and Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO awards.

Nieaal, a previous pupil of Ysgol Maesydderwen, was always interested in medical work, including working with Saint John Ambulance.  The young businessman set up EAS Wales in 2018 after working for the NHS for 4 years. In two years the company has grown from just one or two people being involved and one vehicle to six vehicles and around 50 subcontractors working across Europe providing ambulance transport, event medical cover and medical and rescue cover on film and TV sets.

This award is one of many earned by Nieaal, whose accolades include a Rotary Club Community Service Award, a Young Achievers Award presented by Princess Anne in Buckingham Palace, and a Grand Prior award.

Nieall said in a statement:

“Winning this award would be an amazing honour.  During the Covid 19 pandemic, the staff and vehicles from EAS Wales have been working alongside other companies and supporting the NHS.  The award would be an amazing achievement and will provide recognition of what EAS Wales has achieved.”
