Welsh fire and security company Ceaton Security has been acquired by Senseco Systems, a leading UK-based fire protection and life safety specialist, in a strategic deal aimed at expanding national service capabilities. The acquisition, supported by FRP Corporate Finance, marks a key milestone in Senseco’s ongoing buy-and-build growth strategy.

Fire and Security Services Firm Ceaton Joins Senseco Systems

Founded in 1991, Cardiff-based Ceaton Security is a family-run business with more than 30 years of experience in the fire and security services sector. The company provides design, installation and maintenance services for fire alarms, security systems, access control, automation, and fire doors. It serves a range of private and public sector clients across Wales and the South West, including the Welsh Government, Great Western Railway, and the Welsh Rugby Union.

As part of the deal, Senseco Systems, which operates across the UK and is backed by Foundation Investment Partners, will integrate Ceaton’s regional expertise and established client relationships into its national operations. The acquisition enhances Senseco’s UK fire and life safety services portfolio, with a broader offering that includes fire detection, suppression, passive fire protection, security, and automation.

Ceaton Security to Retain Brand Post-Acquisition

Ceaton Security will continue to trade under its existing name alongside the Senseco brand. This strategy is designed to retain Ceaton’s strong regional identity while leveraging Senseco’s nationwide infrastructure. The partnership allows both companies to offer enhanced fire protection solutions to customers across the UK, combining local expertise with national scale.

Strategic Deal Supported by FRP Corporate Finance

The transaction was facilitated by FRP Corporate Finance, which was appointed by Angie Beasley, Managing Director of Ceaton Security, to explore a trade sale. The FRP team — led by Director Thomas Edwards, with support from Jade Burgess and Twm Westcott — managed the full sale process, from preparation to deal completion.

What They Said:

Thomas Edwards, Director at FRP Corporate Finance, commented:

“Ceaton is a strong business with deep roots in the Welsh fire and security market. Under Angie’s leadership, especially since the 2022 management buyout, the company has shown exceptional growth. The acquisition by Senseco is a strategic fit that will enable both firms to thrive.”

Angie Beasley, Managing Director at Ceaton Security, added:

“This deal is about securing the future of Ceaton — for our clients, our team, and the values we’ve built over the past 30 years. Senseco shares our culture and vision, and we’re excited to join forces. I’m also grateful to the FRP team for their expertise and support throughout the process.”
