A Walking Challenge has been put together using Public Rights of Way across Ceredigion. These self-guided walks will take you across the whole county to explore some of Ceredigion’s most beautiful scenery from wild windswept clifftops to sheltered wooded valleys.
There are over 2500km of Public Rights of Way criss-crossing Ceredigion. This Walking Challenge aims to highlight the availability of routes across the county including lesser-known routes and alternative ways of reaching popular sites, whilst encouraging people to access the countryside for health and wellbeing benefits.
Various walks across the county will be published weekly on the Council’s corporate social media pages:
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The above routes have been chosen from the Councils Walks and Rides page. If you would like to complete any of the Challenges using alternative routes, then please visit the Walks and Rides page to find other available routes.
Clicking on a route shows extra information which you may find useful when planning your walks. As well as total distance it includes a route profile so you can spot any challenging climbs, any stiles and steps you may encounter and the type of surfacing along the way. There are also suggested parking spots, any facilities in the area and bus information.
Whichever routes you choose to walk, remember that sturdy footwear is essential, as is weather appropriate clothing and carrying drinking water with you. Always respect the land you are crossing and follow the Countryside Code.
