Welsh company seeks people to try its weight management programme for free

Five lucky people in Wales are being sought to try a proven, ground-breaking weight management programme for free in return for documenting their progress.

The DA Group, which is headquartered in Swansea, was founded in 2012 by Emma and Tony Scrivener, their daughter Katie Thomas and Katie’s husband Shaun Thomas. Between them the family lost 14 stone using the diet plan they developed, supported by the company’s weight management products.

They decided to share their success with others via The DA Group, and since forming the company they have helped thousands of people to achieve similar results. The DA Group now has a turnover of more than £1m and continues to add to its range of products. Katie, Shaun, Emma and Tony provide ongoing, free online, phone and email support to customers, who can also support each other and share recipes and tips in the DA Group’s two Facebook VIP Support groups.

The DA Group’s products and diet plans are now stocked in pharmacies as well as online, and to mark this milestone, The DA Group has teamed up with Gravells Pharmacy in Llanelli to offer five local people the chance to try their programme for free, backed by health checks carried out by Jamie Thorne, the owner and chief Pharmacist at Gravells Pharmacy.

Emma Scrivener said:

“We’re very excited that our products are now going to be available in pharmacies, as this enables people to access face to face support and advice right from the outset. Our products and diet plans are only going to be stocked by pharmacists that offer a consulting room where our approach and products can be explained to new customers. As soon as you start one of our programmes, you can also access ongoing support directly from us, and from our large online community. We know that people are more likely to lose weight if they have a support network, so that’s something we’ve worked hard to create.

“Gravells is the first pharmacy in the UK to stock our products and as a local company, we thought it would be a great idea to celebrate by offering five local people the chance to try our programme for free. All we ask in return is that they document their progress and share that with us – we love seeing how successful people are using our programme.”
