West Wales Animal Rescue Charity Seeks Kennel Assistant

Animal rescue charity, West Wales Poundies, is looking for a hard working and enthusiastic kennel assistant to work at Tegfan kennels.  The new hire will play an important role in supporting West Wales Poundies dog rescue.

Applicants must be over 21, have a driving licence and be competent and capable at handling all types of dogs. Duties include cleaning kennels, walking dogs and overseeing the general care of the rescue and boarding dogs.

The charity is looking for someone who is:
– Hard working
– Reliable
– Punctual
– Someone who can work independently and as a team
– Someone who has a ‘can do’ attitude and is not scared to get stuck in to any task.

They particularly need applicants who:
– Are confident with dogs
– Can communicate effectively with colleagues and members of the public
– Is organised and able to follow structures and routines and
– Are committed to the job.

This can be a part or full time position. Hours to be discussed, but an 8.30am start is essential.

Tegfan kennels is based in Llansawel, Llandeilo. SA19. Please check distance before applying and ensure you have reliable transport to the kennels.
