Wheelchair Rugby officials donned Tarw Sports attire for European Championship
The Principality Stadium hosted the 2023 Wheelchair Rugby European Championship from May 3 to 7, and a Carmarthenshire-based provider of branded sportswear, renowned for its cutting-edge approach provided sportswear for the event.
Tarw Sports was launched by entrepreneur Angela Windsor last year as a sister company to Print Inc, a specialist in print and embroidered clothing. Tarw Sports offers a bespoke solution for branded sportswear, offering amateur sports teams and military teams the ability to purchase quality products backed up by great customer service.
The company sponsored the 2023 Wheelchair Rugby European Championship and supplied all the workwear and commemorative clothing for the tournament’s 50-strong team of officials, all volunteers, the teams in a celebrity match and all competing nations, including Wales and England.
The business, based in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, has already won some major contracts with the military including the Welsh Guards. Its official charity is ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The key values of Tarw Sports are resilience, determination and strength, aiming to offer customers high-quality, high-performance products to consistently high standards while never disregarding customer service.
Speaking prior to the event, Angela Windsor, Founder of Tarw Sports, said:
“We are very excited to be on board helping the whole event team at the European Championship look their very best for such an incredible event. At Tarw Sports we put a strong focus on channelling the inner strength of the individual, so we really hope that our apparel helps the players especially to feel confident and comfortable as they compete.
“Having this event at the Principality for the first time is a really exciting moment for wheelchair rugby – it’s something we’re very proud to be a part of as a Wales-based brand.”
Chris Walker, Event Director, added:
“We’re delighted to have Tarw Sports on board providing all of our event apparel, and ensuring that our workforce look the part as they’re hard at work delivering the event.
“Their enthusiasm at being involved and attention to detail has been evident throughout the design process. It’s great too that we can showcase a fast-growing Welsh brand as part of this event – we can’t wait to wear their apparel throughout the championship!”
