Young talent from the North of England and North Wales region recognised at British Council for Offices NextGen awards
A young professional from the North of England and North Wales region has received the Rising Star accolade at the annual British Council for Offices (BCO) NextGen Awards, which recognises under 35’s for their achievements within the office sector.
Sarah Syson, Associate Design Director at Claremont Group Interiors, was recognised by the BCO for her outstanding contribution to the office sector within the region.
The event, which took place on Wednesday 11th November, is part of the BCO’s NextGen programme, which offers collaboration, knowledge-sharing and mentoring opportunities to the future generation of property leaders, and celebrated the achievements and successes of young talent within the industry.
The ceremony, welcomed the country’s top designers, developers, architects and occupiers under the age of 35 and celebrated the achievements and successes of young professionals in the commercial property sector across the UK, and the individuals who mentored them.
Sarah Syson, the winner for this year’s Rising Star North of England & North Wales is a worthy winner of the award, as her dedication to Claremont and exceptional performance since joining them in 2015 demands recognition. Sarah has been instrumental in helping to develop others within her team, creating a supportive work environment which has allowed new team members to flourish. Throughout her six years at Claremont she has carried a large workload and built relationships across the industry, even finding the time to pioneer the Claremont BAME scholarship programme which welcomed its first successful candidate in June.
Robin Brodie Cooper, President of the BCO, said: “As we celebrate the young talent behind some of the UK’s most impressive office developments, it’s important to recognise their continued dedication and hard work throughout these challenging times. Each nominee and winner are extremely well-deserving – congratulations to all!”
