Young Welsh Entrepreneurs open dream gift shop in Brecon Beacons
Locals Hannah Wadley (23) and Samantha Blair (25) both set up separate businesses during lockdown 2020 and have now opened their joint store ‘Little Luxuries’ – the opening took place on Saturday 30th April in Brecon’s Bethel Square Shopping Centre.
Hannah is the founder of Hannah Lily Designs, home to a range of high-quality, elegant stationery inspired by her belief that organisation is the ultimate key to success.
Samantha is the founder of Samalanah Collection, offering home fragrance items including candles and wax melts hand poured locally in the heart of the Brecon Beacons.
‘Little Luxuries’ offers shoppers the chance to enjoy both ranges in one beautiful shop, conveniently situated in Bethel Square Shopping Centre.
Hannah explains: “We actually went to the same school but didn’t really know each other until we met at a craft market just before lockdown and both loved the other’s ranges!
We stayed in touch and both launched our businesses officially during lockdown 2020. It made a huge difference having someone who understood the highs and lows of running a small business so we began attending markets and running pop up shops together.
We really enjoyed doing this and both our businesses have been lockdown success stories, so we decided to open a store together… and Little Luxuries was born!
We’ve found the perfect location with great footfall and we are really excited to have created a beautiful space in which shoppers can discover both our brands, uncovering treasures for themselves and gifts for others.
The welcome that we received from the community was heartwarming, and to see our shop full of customers was surreal. It was a true celebration of how far we have come since starting our businesses.”
The store is open 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday at Bethel Square, Brecon, LD3 7JP
