If you have a copy of Anglesey Monopoly kicking about at home, you could be holding onto a mini fortune.

Earlier this year, the news broke that the Anglesey version of the Hasbro game was listed on eBay. The board game was declared ‘still in its original packaging’ and was listed for £185.00.

Amazon and Game both list the game on their own websites, however, both state that the Monopoly game is “currently unavailable”.

Isle of Anglesey Monopoly was released in 2011 to commemorate the marriage of Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge. It was released six month after the wedding took place and features several locations with links to the two royals.

The board features destinations such as RAF Valley, the historic National Trust property Plas Newydd, as well as Holyhead Breakwater Country Park and even Waitrose supermarket.

There are of course other Welsh versions of Monopoly including Newport, Wales and Cardiff. However, these are considerably cheaper and more readily available than the Anglesey version.

The Monopoly brand continues to be omnipresent worldwide. The famous Monopoly brand has branched out into food and gambling circles with the extremely popular McDonalds Monopoly as well as Monopoly Megaways.

Do you own Anglesey Monopoly? If you do and you are willing to sell, you could earn yourself a couple of hundred pounds!
