Bouygues UK headline sponsor of the inaugural National Social Value Conference Wales

Bouygues UK is sponsoring the first National Social Value Conference being held virtually on 17th and 18th November.

The conference has been organised by the Social Value Portal, an online solution that allows organisations to measure and manage the contribution their organisation and supply chain makes to society.

Bouygues UK has always prioritised Social Value when it comes to their approach to projects and its CSR Director Leigh Hughes and Operations Director Justin Moore, will be holding panel discussions on ‘Procuring for future Generations’ and ‘Maximizing Social Value in Construction’.

As well as those discussions, during the course of the conference Bouygues UK Social Value Advisor Alison Howe and Head of Social Value Jeff Joseph, will demonstrate how Bouygues UK continue to deliver their Social Value engagement programme despite the pandemic by running a digital booth and hosting a workshop session on ‘Delivering “Digital Social Value in a time of COVID.’

Leigh Hughes, CSR Director for Bouygues UK Construction, said: “We’re very much looking forward to being part of the SVP Conference Wales. Social Value is of pivotal importance when it comes to the Bouygues UK approach. It is a term with many meanings, but we define it as all that we do to enhance the lives of residents in the communities in which we work.

“Our ethos is to always work with a moral compass in mind, improving the conditions of the wider community to reduce inequality, improve wellbeing, and deliver prosperity for all whilst continuously making sure our goals are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”

Leigh added: “We hope to provide delegates with an insight into what Social Value means to us, why we are involved with the conference, as well as some of the great initiatives that we’ve been a part of. We look forward to welcoming attendees to the conference.”
