Locals of Swansea get ready to click your sticks as Chopstix provides noodles to office workers, all enjoyed to the soundtrack of a sing along choir and a performance from a Chinese dragon

Chopstix, the nationwide noodle bar, which recently opened its brand new store in Swansea, looked to give locals a treat, seeing a local choir and dragon entertaining the masses with a lion dance and a traditional drum performance, all to deliver 300 boxes of free noodles.

Chopstix delivered boxes of noodles around Swansea city centre with Swansea University Show Choir entertaining the crowds with a handful of popular musical renditions, all with the aim of putting a smile on locals’ faces.

The giveaway launched officially in Swansea on Wednesday 17th November, visiting the Chopstix Oxford Street store before finishing at the iconic Swansea Castle.

The activity is also in aid of the latest Chopstix store opening in Swansea,  the Pan-Asian noodle chain opened its store in Swansea on Thursday 11th November for locals to click their sticks at.

Located at 806 Oxford St, Swansea SA1 3AF,  the store includes the brands ‘living wall’, star shaped lights and new screen features including the ‘animated Chopstix Anime Girl’ brand mascot along with the now famous decor reflecting the quirky and fun ethos of the Chopstix brand.

Rob Burns, marketing director for Chopstix, said: “We wanted to celebrate the launch of the Swansea store with a giveaway that would leave a lasting impression on the locals of the city.

“After a challenging 18 months for the UK and with workers now returning to the office, we wanted to add a little excitement for them returning to the office. In the last year we have given away close to a thousand boxes of noodles, across Manchester and Leicester, so we wanted to replicate this success in Swansea as we couldn’t wait to bring it to another city in the UK. We’re proud to be able to donate our noodle boxes to the locals of Swansea and people across the UK should look out for the next event.”

Those who want to know the next noodle giveaway location should keep an eye out on the Chopstix social media channels @chopstixuki.
